The lodge is only an approx. 7 minutes walk (300m) away from Kreischberg cable car. The "Kreischberg" is one of the biggest skiing areas in Styria and starts at an attitude of 800m up to 2100m on top of the mountain. It was venue of the FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships 2015 and has the most modern snow making facilities in Europe for excellent slopes. Furthermore the first 10-seat cable car in Styria is located here.

Many activities make the area suitable especially for families. But also advanced skiers and snowboarders will find challenging slopes.

There is a restaurant in the main building of the "Ferienpark St. Lorenzen" and another one very close to it (both approx. 100m from the lodge).
